Ksenia Okhapkina is a documentary film director from St. Petersburg whose film “Come Back Free” will be screened on this years DocPoint festival. The film shows the impact of war on a village in the Chechen mountains. “Come Back Free” won the IDFA Special Jury Award for mid-length documentaries. “We were particularly moved by the camerawork in the service of insight and empathy in a non-story driven film,” the jury commented.
Ksenia will share her experiences on working in unfamiliar environment, finding the mutual understanding with the cinematographer and making a film that does not follow the classical narrative structure.

In co-operation with Open Estonia Foundation the film will be followed by a discussion where young journalists Stanislav and Ksenia Smirnov, environmental activist and long-time friend of Nemtsov, Evgenia Chirikova take the floor.

Robert Jürjendal is an experimental guitarist and composer who has created music for documentary films “Come Back Free” and “Woman and the Glacier” which are both premiering in Estonia during this years DocPoint Tallinn festival. He was lately awarded as musician of the year of Estonian Public Broadcasting. The collaboration between Robert Jürjendal and ambient musician Kaido Kirikmäe is based primarily on spontaneity and improvisation.
The concert takes place in a gallery surrounded by lighting designer Tõnis Vellama’s exhibition “Tule Valges”.
